With Crown Sydney opening the doors to its highly anticipated world-class dining and bar precinct just weeks ago, Crown has now announced its latest partnership with one of Australia’s most renowned chefs – Guillaume Brahimi – who will join Sydney’s latest dining precinct as its Culinary Ambassador.
Building on a relationship with Crown that spans eleven years and involves Brahimi having established two highly successful and eponymous restaurants – Bistro Guillaume – in both Melbourne and Perth with Crown, this latest extension of their partnership will see Brahimi work alongside Crown Sydney Culinary Director, Sarah Briegel, as well as Crown Sydney’s tourism and commercial partners to help promote Crown Sydney and the city more broadly as a food destination for both local, interstate and international visitors.
In addition, Brahimi will also play a key business advisory role helping to shape the direction for high-end events and conferencing services at the Resort, as well as consulting to the Crown executive team to help shape future innovation in its offerings including potential festivals and bespoke public events for Sydneysiders and visitors to experience throughout the year.
Crown Sydney’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Crinis, said as one of Sydney’s most established chefs and a long-term partner of Crown, Brahimi was the perfect candidate for this role within the business.

French-born Brahimi is one of Australia’s most popular and acclaimed chefs. He trained under Michelin-starred chef Joel Robuchon in Paris before moving to Sydney in the 1990s.
Guillaume said he is thrilled to take on such a key advisory role with Crown to help grow the precinct and Sydney’s stature as a major food destination.

Guillaume Brahimi is one of Australia’s most loved chefs. In late 2001, Guillaume won the prestigious contract to take over the flagship restaurant at the Sydney Opera House, Bennelong, and opened this spectacular venue in November 2001 as Guillaume at Bennelong.
The restaurant went on to win almost every major accolade as well as international recognition. By 2003, it held Two Chef Hats in the Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Food Guide and in 2013, Guillaume and his team regained their Three-Hat status in the 2014 Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide.
In 2009 Guillaume formed a partnership with Crown Melbourne and opened Bistro Guillaume. In September 2012, Guillaume opened his second Bistro Guillaume at Crown Perth. In August 2016, Guillaume opened a third Bistro Guillaume in Sydney’s CBD.
In late 2014, Guillaume was a recipient of the Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Merite (Knight of the National Order), a prestigious honour endowed by the French government for outstanding services rendered to France in Foreign Affairs and International Development. In 2015, Guillaume was named Chef of the Year at the annual GQ Men Of The Year awards. Guillaume is currently an ambassador for Audi Australia.
Guillaume is the host of SBS’s food series, Plat du Tour which airs during the coverage of the Tour de France. Guillaume takes viewers on a tour of great French cooking during the 21 recipes that originate from different regions of France and correlate to the different Tour de France stages.
