A Food & Wine Escape with Dish

The Farm at Cape Kidnappers is delighted to announce a very special New Zealand gourmet escape, June 27-28, with renowned chef Gareth Stewart, local winemaker Chris Scott of Church Road wines, and more.

Hosted by dish Magazine editor Sarah Tuck and dish drinks editor Yvonne Lorkin, the luxury food and wine weekend promises a convivial atmosphere with like-minded and inspirational “foodies” in a sublime setting.

Kicking off with a relaxed lunch at the lodge on Saturday June 27, the afternoon unfolds with a comprehensive tasting of Church Road wines with knowledgeable wine writer Yvonne Lorkin and chief winemaker Chris Scott.

As one of New Zealand’s oldest wineries, Church Road has a global reputation for producing award-winning wines. Tasting them in the beautiful region that Church Road calls home will be a special treat.

After the tasting, guests will be free to enjoy the stunning surrounds of the 6000-acres Cape Kidnappers property, perhaps sneak in a round of golf on the Cape Kidnappers course, retreat to the spa, or simply relax in the stylish interiors of their private suite accommodation.

Saturday night’s gourmet tasting menu will be created especially for the weekend by chef Gareth Stewart (of Andiamo, Jervois Steak House, Euro, the Culpepper and more). Within his menu, Gareth will showcase a selection of flavoursome meats provided by local favourite, the Greenlea Butcher Shop, including their premium grass-fed beef, world-class Ovation lamb, and First Light venison. The menu will be thoughtfully matched to Church Road wines.

A full breakfast in the lodge on Sunday will round off the weekend, with time afterwards to take advantage of the tariff inclusion of each guest’s choice of a day of unlimited green fees or a 60-minute massage in the Cape Kidnappers spa.
