Canoes, Cool Climate Wines and Canapes
Explore the capital from a different perspective with our unique Canoes Champagne & Canapés on Lake Burley Griffin this Spring.
This is a chance to experience this stunning man-made waterway in style, as you paddle, dine on delicious local food and taste regional ACT cool climate wines.
This is the first time offering this experience on the famous Lake Burley Griffin in the region, as we usually only take our rigs out in Kangaroo Valley. Now you get to see Canberra landmarks from a new vantage point so take a break, enjoy nature and discover what is unapologetically Wildfest® heaven.
For those guests not accustomed to this experience the double canoe rigs are stable and virtually unsinkable. It’s like gliding on a catamaran as you wine and dine your way around this fresh water lake. The area you are exploring are very calm and the currents are mild, making paddling effortless. It’s an easy and safe way to get you into the watercourses of the ACT and of course life jackets are supplied by our guides who accompany you on the trip.
We run two sessions per day – 11.30am arrival for briefing with noon departure and 2.30pm arrival with briefing for a 3pm departure. You are on the water for about 2 hours and we depart for Yarralumla Bay.
