Wine Harvest Feast
During the Autumn Equinox its grape picking time in the Southern Highlands so we celebrate the wine harvest with lunch at the award winning Far Ago Hill Vineyard in Canyonleigh. With no cellar door for public access, this is a unique opportunity to experience this stunning private vineyard as the autumn colours start to flood the highlands. Feast on a gastronomic exploration of locally grown produce as we enjoy the warm afternoon sunshine, relaxing music, great conversation and breath-taking views this property affords.
Take the opportunity to meet the Far Ago Hill winemaker Katrina Hill at her stunning Highlands vineyard and learn about her Pinot Gris, Syrosa and Shiraz characterised by the mineral rich soil of the region. Only once a year we can experience this location and dine in the vines, learn about wine making during harvest time, make new friends and enjoy some live acoustic music from Lou Bruce and Craig Hooper.
Lunch honours the seasonal growing cycle showcasing locally grown farmed and foraged ingredients and be accompanied by 2019 Far Ago Pinot Gris, 2019 Syrosa and 2017 Shiraz as the picking season comes to a close.
This is a chance to visit and taste wines that are not available at a cellar door but are pinnacles of the thriving cool climate wines of our region. Guests will be able to pre-order the 2020 vintage at a special event price.
This is an annual event so numbers are limited and booking early is recommended.
