SKYLODGE MOUNT TAMBORINE

Located in the peaceful and picturesque hinterland, only an hour from Brisbane and the Gold Coast is Tamborine Mountain, one of Queensland’s secret treasures.   A new additional to the Mountain in 2013, the lodge is a secluded six-star property, perched upon the North east edge of Tamborine Mountain.

The luxury residence with in-house massages, 1200 thread count linen and expansive views of the Gold Coast and its hinterland will steal your breath away.

Skylodge5The Lodges large indoor/outdoor living area overlooking the outdoor heated infinity pool is the heart of the house.  During the winter months, snuggle up on the leather divan by the log fireplace after enjoying a meal you have prepared in the gourmet kitchen.

Accommodation includes two exotic, sumptuous suites and elegant living rooms in an architect-designed, contemporary homestead.   The finest cotton bed linen, in connoisseur’s 1200-thread count, will be a welcome indulgence by all guests.

Each room has vistas to the garden and mountains through glass-paneled walls with both sheer and block-out curtains for that luxurious getaway slumber.   The bathrooms host quality organic bathroom products and treatments are handmade in Australia by ikou.

Faraway Suite – features a king-sized bed, resting on a padded leather base appears to float over the polished timber floor in this chic room. The handsome furnishings include buffalo horns on crocodile skin bases that support bedside lampshades.   Why not relax in the comfort of your room on the leather and twill lounge. In the ensuite, large charcoal floor tiles contrast with white walls. A floor to ceiling glass panel and a suspended vanity help maximise space and light, and in a surprising touch – an intricately beaded African mask adds a little magic.

Serendipity Suite – Intrigue and drama is the best way to describe this room. It’s fabulously decorated with ostrich feathered lampshades on spiraling kudu horn stands, a cowhide lounge chair and hassock, a tribal-like feather sculpture, and a faux-fur bed throw.  At the base of the four-poster queen-sized bed is an antique blanket box resting on a thickly woven Indian dhurrie over polished timber floorboards. The ensuite, with twin basins, three shower roses, a deep, half ovoid bath and floor to ceiling glass walls is flooded with lovely natural light.

One or both suites are available for a minimum of two,  and maximum of three,  nights:  Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If only one room is booked,  Skylodge is for your exclusive use.  No other booking will be taken.
