Meet Amanda
Amanda Mahony is a contemporary Australian artist living in Sydney. Known for her colourful, energetic, textured paintings, she depicts images of animals, figures and landscapes in an abstract, realism style. Her goal is to invite the viewer to find and explore their own experiences, places and time.
Amanda is continuously driven to develop and evolve her artistic style through mixed media, contemporary art and classical oil painting techniques. She enjoys seeing the beauty in every day scenes and builds layers until a unique interpretation of colour and texture meet on the canvas. She starts off thin with her mediums and acrylics and builds up many, many coats by applying heavier texture mediums, mark making materials, oil paint and cold wax. The layers, texture and colour are balanced and keenly placed, yet unexpected. Each piece invites and gives a momentous experience.

The experience is designed especially for your group. Amanda’s online painting Masterclass will help you to escape into a different realm and delivers a sense of accomplishment. During the 2-hour Masterclass, Amanda will walk you through a painting of your choosing, step-by-step.
